Supporting community-driven sustainable projects in Uganda.
What do we do?
We don’t believe we have all the answers. The communities we support know better than us what they need. That’s why all of our projects are driven by the communities we work with. A community group or individual will approach Joshua with an idea or problem. We then work closely with that community to address the problem, find a solution and help them achieve its completion.
-
Education
We believe that every child has the right to an education and we currently work with 9 primary schools and 28 secondary schools in Blantyre rural.
-
Early Child Development
We support early child development through a network of community-based child care centres in 10 villages providing a range of activities for the under-fives from pre-school education, nutrition support to health care.
-
Community Projects
We aim to provide the means to make sustainable, community-driven solutions like the development of income generation projects, community construction projects or setting up workshops and training - giving members of our communities a long-term chance of breaking the cycle of poverty.
-
Emergency Relief
When required, Joshua is able to respond to the emergency needs of communities and get help to where it is needed most.
